Louisiana Public Health Institute recently presented the Third Annual Symposium on Racial and Health Equity in Louisiana which focused on addressing crime and violence in communities. Throughout the day, hundreds of attendees from across the state and country heard experts share insights into various subjects, including tackling the root causes of crime and violence, achieving health equity in behavioral health access, addressing interpersonal violence and reproductive justice, and reimagining safety. The day concluded with a call to action for advancing equity and justice.
