Our vision is bold.

Working toward a healthier Louisiana.

Moving forward, together.

The goal of Healthy State is a healthier Louisiana.  In this pursuit, we embrace the challenges and will leverage our strengths as leading healthcare, education and policy organizations to create healthier, happier and more productive communities, with health equity at the forefront of our efforts.

Year after year, Louisiana ranks close to the bottom in nearly all health measures. Our incomparable culture, heritage, resilience and joie de vivre make us one of a kind, and our communities deserve better from all of us to ensure our health is a priority, too.

With an eye on the future.

Louisiana’s leading organizations across the public and private sectors are taking action to enhance the quality of life for all Louisianians. There’s no better time than right now — let’s work together to optimize the health, safety, and wellness for every single person. Smarter, not harder.  For all of us today, and our future generations that follow.

With the guidance of the Healthy State Advisory Board, we believe we can achieve profound impact across the state.  We believe in Healthy State, its endeavors, and we believe in the industries and companies from every sector, every corner of the state, to help us tackle  the leading causes of poor health.  We are working daily to accomplish this mission so that one day, all Louisianians will enjoy a better, longer, healthier way of life.

MEET OUR ADVISORY BOARD

Our mission is to eliminate barriers to healthcare; bring resources to underserved, urban and rural communities; collaborate with partners to research and better understand health disparities; utilize technology and innovation to improve outcomes and invest in Louisiana’s next generation of healthcare providers and frontline staff.
